2008 Green Transport Campaigns In 2008, Action for the City promoted two Green Transport Campaigns. 16th May 2008 marked a day when residents of Hanoi take action to raise public awareness on emission caused by vehicles. On this first campaign, supported by the Vietnam Innovation Day, more than 30 workplaces and about  3595 people shifted their gear on 16th May 2008. On average, if each of them traveled 10km per day, using the most popular mode of transport in Hanoi, motorbike, then the Green Transport Campaign 2008 saved 1,300kg of CO2 emission to our environment. To celebrate the No car Day 22nd September, Action for the City promoted the Green Transport challenge through the whole week among two universities, Hanoi University and the Trade Union University. 21,000 km alone was registered at the two universities during the week.
